Know­ing what is right or wrong on any issue is impor­tant. Yet is it enough from a faith per­spec­tive? When absolutely cer­tain, can any one of us be open to the truth as expressed and believed by our neigh­bor if dif­fer­ent from out own? Is there any­thing so cer­tain to me or you that noth­ing could change our minds? Can’t that be a fright­en­ing thought? Read the scrip­ture from Paul to the Corinthi­ans. You might think it is about what to eat. What else is it about?

When has God called you to do some­thing dif­fi­cult? Did you end up doing it? How were you changed in the process? How did your under­stand­ing of God change? Find some time this week to share your story with some­one. We all need to hear sto­ries of God’s call.

In the Christ­mas sea­son, Hen­nepin Church is filled with the Good News of God-with-us. From majes­tic hymns with organ and choirs to times of can­dlelit silence, we come together to once again cel­e­brate the birth of the Christ Child. As we tell the story famil­iar to many and new to some, we wel­come you to join us. We are those who dream of a time of peace and hope for all.
